TypeIt4Me 4.0 Has Arrived
Mark Fisher wrote a thorough evaluation of Ettore Software’s TypeIt4Me app in July. Now version 4.0 is out, and includes a couple of nifty new features. TypeIt4Me now uses the MacOS X native spell-checker. But I’m more excited about Autocue, which lets you set up boilerplate documents in a variety of applications. I saw a beta demo of this capability at MacWorld in January, and it’s pretty slick.
TypeIt4Me is an excellent way to save time with repetitive typing tasks. If you’re working on a Criminal Procedure paper, for example, it’s no hassle to set up a shortcut like /pc in TypeIt4Me for probable cause. I use it all the time for terms like Mac Law Students (mls) and even the Comments slug I put at the end of every Mac Law Students post (mlsfoot).
TypeIt4Me costs $27 for normal folks and $14 for students. The upgrade price is $9.
