Hey Old Fashioned,

Your approach makes as much sense as any. I've noticed that some people are more comfortable with ad-hoc assignment planning, and others like to know as far ahead of time as possible what reading they have to do and when.

This semester I'm taking a less assignment-centric approach to my studies, focusing instead on spending certain chunks of time throughout the week studying certain subjects. This way I (hopefully) won't fall into the trap of spending less prep time on classes that have a deceptively small amount of reading.

Call me old fashioned, but I just use TextEdit for my assignment tracking. Reading assignments come and go so quickly that having any kind of formal system for it would, for me at least, take more time than it's worth.

Now, for longer-term project managing it could be a different story.
