About This Particular Outliner
Over at About This Particular Macintosh, Ted Goranson has been writing for the past few years about Mac outlining and writing applications. The archive of his About This Particular Outliner articles is a treasure trove of inight into the wide variety of applications Mac users can use to take notes, organize information, and write.
Goranson is particularly adept at explaining the different paths taken by each application he encounters, which goes a long way toward helping readers understand which apps might be appealing. He is a firm proponent of the view that there is no one “right” way to outline with your Mac, a philosophy with which I heartily concur.
Don’t be fooled by the fact that many of his articles are a year or two old. There’s still a heap of valuable information in them. If you haven’t found an app that fits your note-taking needs, the archives of About This Particular Outliner are a good place to start a thorough investigation of the available options.
