Yes, it’s that time of year again. The Webbys are here. What? You don’t know about the Webbys? Despite the awkward name, the Webbys are an important event in the world of Internet publishing. Every year voters crown the best websites in a wide variety of categories.
This year I was contacted by the ABA. They want my support as they attempt to win a Webby for their blog. But seriously, does the ABA need my help? Obviously they don’t. Anyway, I have a soft spot for the underdog. So I’m going to vote for JURIST, a legal news site run by law students.
Here’s why:
- Joshua Camson, a Pitt student, sent me an email and told me how helpful Mac Law Students has been for him. Ego strokes always work. Joshuah, you’re going to be an excellent advocate.
- I lived in Pittsburgh for a year and really love the place. I took so many runs through Panther Hollow that I still remember that burning feeling that comes from churning up those steps.
- Finally, JURIST is a great site. As one of the people behind Tech LawForum, I know how challenging it can be for busy students to run a law website. JURIST is providing an excellent service and deserves all the kudos it can get.
