Installing Vista on Macs in a Law Office

Jeffrey Allen shares his Vista installation experience at the ABA’s MacNotes.

He installed Vista on a Lenovo laptop, a 20″ iMac, and a MacBook Pro. Oddly enough, the MacBook Pro proved to be the machine that took to Vista with the fewest problems. If you are interested in using Vista on a Mac (or on a PC for that matter), it is worth reading about some of the difficulties he encountered.

Jeffrey notes that XP is probably still the preferred solution for Windows compatibility on a Mac:

If you want to run Windows on a Mac, you can run Vista, but you will likely be better off with XP, both in terms of avoiding the potential installation/activation issues and in terms of the fact that Vista requires more RAM and appears to run more slowly than XP.

LOL I have to laugh at that. Vista loaded with the least probelms on the mac. Well when you htink about it it is the Mac10X os so basically it is running on a PC. Shhh I did not say that out loud. By the way why don’t you just have Vista and MAc on the Mac. I do and love it. Because you alreayd bought Vista you really should look at doing this. That way you have the best of both worlds. My sig has a link to an article I found that details how to do it.
